Guernsey has a dedicated Intellectual Property Office and modern legislation for the protection and exploitation of various forms of intellectual property such as trade marks; patents; registered designs; copyright; and image rights. Guernsey was also the first jurisdiction to legislate for the registration of image rights as intellectual property, making the Island one of the most advanced jurisdictions in this area.
