Jemma’s career commenced in the Guernsey fiduciary services industry in 2000 and she carried out an 8 year stint as Managing Director in a Geneva based fiduciary prior to returning to the Island to establish Tarian Trust. Jemma has an array of qualifications and expertise in multiple aspects of financial services from strategy, legal, administrative, accounting, governance and compliance roles, together with 8 years’ experience as head of operations for a Guernsey licenced fund manager. As the founder of Tarian and several non-financial services business, Jemma understands many of the complexities and objectives of entrepreneurs alike and seeks to lead the team with a focus on client service, support and creating added value under strong governance principles.

James Orrick

Director
MSc, BSc (Hons), FCCA, FCG

James qualified as an accountant with Ernst & Young working predominantly with private equity assurance clients. Prior to joining Tarian, James spent over a decade at Private Equity Administrators Limited, a boutique private equity and venture capital fund administrator, where for the most part he held the position as Managing Director and was responsible for all aspects of the regulated business. James also sat on the board of both fund and investment management companies.

James holds a Masters in Corporate Governance from Bournemouth University, a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Essex, is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute.

Darren Batiste

Director - Head of Operations

With around 25 years’ experience in the finance industry having previously held senior positions at well-known large fiduciary services providers in Guernsey, Darren has a vast experience working on international structures for high net worth individuals, together with extensive knowledge of data protection and matters of governance. Primarily responsible for overseeing all aspects of Tarian’s operations, Darren works closely with all departments to ensure we maintain and enhance Tarian’s commitment to governance and quality, and is working on various efficiency improvements including implementation of advanced technology solutions to ensure the highest level of client service. Darren holds the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management and the Institute of Directors Certificate in Company Direction

William Frank

Finance & Investment Specialist

Following graduation from Stellenbosch University with a degree in Business Commerce Law, William commenced his multi-faceted family office and finance career with a bank owned multi-family office in Cape Town, before re-locating to Geneva in 2011 to extend his private banking and wealth management journey. William held a position in a boutique private Swiss bank where he also carried out the role of Key Individual for the bank’s licencing requirement in South Africa before venturing over to a top-tier private bank in Geneva. William is a qualified Certified Financial Planner which underpins his talent for effective structuring and the architecture of investment portfolio’s, creating best fit solutions for clients in conjunction with the banks whilst keeping a watchful and independent eye over performance and bank recommendations. In addition to William’s wealth management career, William takes a lead role in progression of Tarian’s aviation business, business development and specialises in global wealth planning including succession related structuring.

Catherine (Cathy) Bond

Head of Finance
FCCA, CAT, TEP, MCSI

With over 25 years experience in accounting and fiduciary, Cathy brings a depth of knowledge in the areas of finance and management reporting and heads up Tarian’s finance team. Cathy ensures the quality and timely preparation of client accounts and manages audit processes and control systems. Cathy also carries out the strategic role of financial controller to Tarian and finance related project management. With a keen interest in efficiency and software development, Cathy is taking a leading role in developing automated processes and integration of work flow systems and artificial intelligence throughout our finance related processes.

Nicky Chippendale

Assistant Director

Nicky has a 25+ year history working in the fiduciary services industry in Guernsey and throughout her career has developed wide-ranging skills.  

She is exceptional at looking after clients and strives on delivering a high level of work with attention to detail, efficiency and innovation.  She has extensive experience working with both private and corporate clients and in managing a variety of structure types and asset classes.  Her experience also extends to the provision of family office services and the administration of private trust company structures.

Tara Corbin

Assistant Director

Tara is an experienced and STEP qualified professional with over 15 years of practice within the fiduciary sector. She has previously worked with large global organisations, together with smaller independents which has provided her with a wealth of experience in managing the affairs of both private and corporate clients, notably whom have origins or exposure in Middle East and South Africa. In addition to managing a range of structures, Tara also currently heads up our aviation and marine management business.

Tara is known for her positive can do attitude, hard working and proactive approach. She prides herself in ensuring high levels of client service.

Sharon King

Sharon joined Tarian in 2024 following a varied career in trust and family office services spanning over 30 years. Sharon has wide ranging experience in all aspects of private client administration and management and has been responsible for the smooth running of a variety of client portfolios which include trust and company structures, charitable, pension and employee benefit trusts, foundations and partnerships.

Charlotte Le Guilcher

Compliance and Onboarding Manager
Dip(AML), Cert.STEP, IMC, IFQ, BA(Hons)

Charlotte brings a wealth of experience spanning over 25 years and a pragmatic, client focussed approach to Compliance, AML and Onboarding of new clients. Prior to joining the firm she spent ten years with a large financial services company in Guernsey, initially in a relationship management role dedicated to delivering trust and corporate services to ultra-high net worth families and their family offices. More latterly she headed up a team of AML specialists responsible for private and institutional client onboarding and all ongoing AML requirements for the fiduciary, bank and fund administration client bases.  Over Charlotte’s extended career she has also held a variety of roles in London and Guernsey through private banking, investment management and fund services. Rather uniquely she also spent 2 years as a founder and CEO of a Guernsey charity committed to improving adult mental health and children’s educational learning experiences.

 

At Tarian Charlotte is responsible for Compliance and AML matters with a focus on client onboarding where she works diligently to ensure regulatory compliance alongside a smooth and positive client experience.  Charlotte sits on a number of Tarian’s governance committees where she utilises her knowledge and experience to add value, participate in debate and ensure robust Compliance oversight and decision making.

Emeka Ogbeide

Emeka commenced his career with Tarian in 2019 following completion of his Level 2 Diploma in Administration and Business. Emeka embarked upon the STEP journey, has successfully completed his Certificate level and is soon to complete his Diploma level. Climbing the steps rapidly as a result of his willing attitude, keen attention to detail and growth ambition, Emeka has become a valued member of Tarian’s administration core.

Royston Barnes

Royston holds a BTEC National Certificate in Business and Finance and is a qualified Certified Accounts Technician. With near enough 30 years’ experience in the local finance industry, Royston brings a wealth of accounting knowledge and has worked with both large blue chip firms and smaller family office environments. Grant Help

Governance Administrator

Underpinning Grant’s keen interest in technology, Grant commenced his career in the retail electronics industry where he assisted in various administrative and sales tasks. Subsequently joining Tarian’s governance department in January 2023, Grant has amassed various administrative and governance skills for the smooth running of Tarian and is currently studying his STEP certificate. In addition to his governance role, Grant supports the team in a variety of IT, systems and development areas.

Jacob Taylor

Trainee

Jacob joined the client services and family office team in 2024 following full time education. Jacob embarked upon a degree in development technologies and his projects included an Ai Tetris algorithm and other gaming programming. Mentored by Tarian’s Assistant Directors, Jacob will be undertaking an intensive learning journey to kick start his new career in client administration with a focus in technology advancements for process efficiency.
